Brandy Flowers honored as James King Award Winner
The James King Award is the highest award given by Penn State Brandywine to our top student athlete. Jimmy King played basketball at Penn State Brandywine. He was a team leader, outstanding student and loved being part of Penn State. Tragically his life was cut short in a car accident before he could realize his full potential. We celebrate his life and legacy yearly by awarding our top student athlete The James King Award. This award recognizes players who, like Jimmy King, are outstanding students/athletes and leaders. These young men and women are nominated by their respective coaches.
This year’s recipient of the James King award continues the legacy of excellence that all the previous winners have demonstrated. This two sport athlete is a dynamo on the court and in the classroom. She has been recognized with PSUAC All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors. She has also been awarded USCAA National All-Academic team honors. The winner will be leaving us in the fall to attend the Smeal Business Program at University Park. We congratulate this year’s James King Award winner, Brandy Flowers.
