"New leadership, same goal"

With a new coaching staff lead by former Brandywine Lion Bill Haines (Head Coach), the squad looks to bounce back and get the program back on the right track to winning a PSUAC title as well as competing in the USCAA. Rounding out the coaching staff is former D-I pitcher from LaSalle University and Phillies Minor League Pitcher, Gerard Breslin, former minor league player Craig Cirillo as well as new Penn State Brandywine grad, Vinny Gallo.

The Lions return 10 key contributors from the 2012 team, and have also added some freshman in Tom Osenbach (Newtown Square, PA), Matt Gallo (Springfield HS), Dan McMeninmen (Springfield HS), Doug Medrano (Bronx, NY).

The squad will also be looking for contributions from key upper class men such as Tre Herman (Downingtown, PA), Joe Samahod (Ridley HS), Mario Dioguardi (Marple Newtown HS), Jim Murphy (Monsignor Bonner HS), Jimmy Quinn (Garnet Valley HS), Matt Trotta (Wilmington, DE) and Carmen Scota (Marple Newtown HS).  

The Brandywine Baseball team will be taking a trip to Dogertown, Florida on March 1 for spring training before they begin their season schedule on March 13 against Penn State Schuylkill followed by a double-header league opener against 2012 PSUAC Champs Penn State Greater Allegheny on March 23 at 2 PM.
