PSUAC Player of the Year and First Team All-American

PLAYER OF THE YEAR
PSU Brandywine sophomore point guard, Rasheed Wilkins has won the PSUAC Player of the Year Award for the 2011-12 season. For the season Wilkins was able to help his team reach the semi-finial game where they lost to the eventual champion PSU Dubois by 7 points. Statistically Wilkins averaged 19.6 ppg., 4.8 rbg, 3.5 apg, and 2.3 spg. Although, his freshmen season was statically better which led to player of the year runner up Rasheed was able to help advance his team further in the PSUAC playoffs. Wilikins was very humble when learning of this award and stated "I would not have been able to achieve any of these accomplishments without my teammates and want to thank them for their support." Rasheed went on to state that he would gladly give this honor back if it means we can win a team championship. Wilkins also thanked the PSUAC coaches who choose him for this award and is extremely humbled to know what others think of him. Rasheed recited a quote given to him by Coach Ross from the great John Wooden "Talent is God Given, Be Humble, Fame is man given, Be grateful, Conceit is self given, be careful." This quote, along with his upbringing is what keeps Wilkins well grounded when achieving personal accomplishments.
