Introducing the 2012-2013 recruiting class!

This years recruiting class is the most promising since 2010. The last three classes have provided Brandywine with exceptional students and outstanding talent and this incoming class promises to do the same. The 2010 class bought Brandywine two key contributors in Vince Mostardi, Brandon Jacquette and two time All American and 2011-12 player of the year Rasheed Wilkins. The 2011 class bought Brandywine an up and coming PSUAC star Zack Devito along with indispensable performers in Sean Mulkeen and Chris Cassidy and a few hidden gems waiting to shine in Kevin Bonnes and Mike Scholz.

The 2012-13 class has the potential to make the biggest impact on the men's basketball program because they provide Brandywine with greatly needed size and talented bench depth. This class begins with a 6'8" forward/center Dan Robinson. A graduate of Ridley High School where he was an all league performer and was able to eclipse the 1,300 point mark. Following high school Robinson earned a full scholarship for a Division II basketball program and has fortunately found his way to Penn State Brandywine. Brandywine also adds 6'6" forward/center Ed Allen from Cardinal O'Hara High School of the Philadelphia Catholic League and 6'6" forward Mahamane Torue from powerhouse Upper Darby High School. Ed Allen was a key factor on the O'Hara team that went to the semi-finals of the Catholic league playoffs. Toure joins Brandywine after participating on multiple state and district playoff teams. These three young men provide PSU Brandywine with the size needed from the undersized team of last year that went to the PSU final four.

However, this is only the beginning of the 2012-2013 class. The coaching staff at Brandywine was also able to add a trio of guards and swing players. Ryan Kelly a 6'2" swing guard can play the 1, 2 or 3 position. He comes to Penn State with a wealth of experience after being the focal point of Garnet Valley High School. He was the team captain his senior year and was able to earn all league honors. Pat McGee joins Brandywine as the most versatile recruit from Marple Newton High School where he was a three year starter. McGee has the ability to play any position 2 thru 5. His size at 6'4" affords him the ability to be a versatile team player. Last but certainly not least is Da'quon Timmons, a 5'11" athletic guard from Upper Darby High School. Timmons was another member of the perennial district and state playoff powerhouse Upper Darby High School.

These six students will look to help Penn State Brandywine finish what they started last season with another final four appearance.
