Brandywine v. Valley Forge Christian College

Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team won a close game (4-3) to Valley Forge Christian College on Thursday (Sept. 29).

The Patriots led 2-0 early in the game.  That 2-0 score wouldn't hold long, as Penn State Brandywine tallied a goal less than two minutes later (49th minute).  Penn State Brandywine forward, Jim Kallarakal, put the home team on the board and back into the game. 

Then, with 18 minutes remaining, Kallarakal struck again.  This time, he knocked in a pass from teammate Dimitriy Zherdev.

In about the 72nd minute of the contest, Penn State Brandywine took a 3-2 lead.  Matthew Fuschel scored and Dimitriy Zherdev was credited with the assist.

Things got really interesting when VFCC's Juan Delcid tied the game back up (3-3).  In the 82nd minute, Delcid knocked in a shot off a Kyle Shirvani corner kick.

The heartbreaking score came in the 86th minute.  Penn State Brandywine's Andrew Sinigaglio knocked in the game winner off a pass from teammate Alex Steele.

The Patriots were unable to answer in the game's final three minutes.
