Cross Country heads to Lake Placid for USCAA Nationals
November 8-9, 2012, student-athletes from Penn State Brandywine had the opportunity to participate in the USCAA National Cross Country Awards Banquet and Championship Race. Last Thursday evening , Kayla Czismazia and James Payne were recognized as "National All–Academic Team Scholars" for maintaining above a 3.5 GPA over their tenure at our university while participating in the sport of Cross Country. Additionally, Kelly Choi, Teresa Gillespie, and Michael Puhl joined Kayla and Jimmy in the Cross Country Championship race the following day. Running in 28 degree temperatures on a snow covered Olympic Biathlon course in Lake Placid, New York, these runners performed admirably and represented Penn State Brandywine with character and determination. Congratulations to each member of the team for their efforts and support.
