MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's cross country teams will travel central Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon for the Penn State University Athletic Conference Championships.

Hosted by Penn State Mont Alto, the women's 6K championship gets the day started at 1:00 pm, while the men's race is slated to begin at 1:45 pm at Norlo Park in Fayetteville, Pa.

The Brandywine men's team has posted three-straight second-place showings at the PSUAC Championship and is in search of its first-ever league title.

Led by two-time all-conference perfomer John Li, Brandywine claimed third place during its first run on the Norlo Park course in September. Li owns seven of the top 8K times in program history and qualified to run at the USCAA National Championship during both his freshman and sophomore seasons.

Brandywine has had a strong season, finishing in the top five in the team standings at five meets this season, including second-place finishes at its home meet and at the Cheyney Invitational. The Lions have faced NCAA Division II and Division III competition in five of six meets this fall.

Brendan Cleary and David Fielding have posted standout freshman campaigns to aid in the team's success as Cleary broke the program's 8K record during the Lions' home invitational, while Fielding recorded the fourth-fastest time in school history at the same event.

On the women's side, freshman A'Nasia Love has run to a trio of top-15 finishes. She ran the fifth-fastest 5K race in team history on Sept. 9 at the Cheyney Invitational, finishing 11th overall.

Brooke Theveny will look to improve on her 12th-place showing as a freshman at the PSUAC Championship in 2016. Theveny, who earned second team all-conference honors, owns a top 6K time of 35:26 this fall at the Mont Alto Invitational when she claimed 10th overall.

A championship would earn Brandywine the league's automatic bid to the USCAA Championship (Nov. 10) in Virginia Beach.
