Bobbi Caprice - Egli Award Winner
Junior Bobbi Caprice, member of the women's volleyball and basketball teams at Penn State Brandywine has been honored with the 2011-2012 Egli Award. The John S. Egli Award is presented annually to the outstanding male and outstanding female scholar athletes of the Penn State University Athletic Conference. Caprice is an academic and athletic standout. She has been involved on campus in a variety of positions ranging from fitness center worker, VP of Student Government to being a member of the Executive Board of the Lion Ambassadors. She is the "go-to girl" on campus when help is required. Bobbi's athletic history at Brandywine is extravagant and impressive. Caprice has been a three year starter and two year captain on the women's basketball team, a spirited member of the volleyball team and a cross country runner for a season when they needed members to fill their squad. Caprice has been an Academic All-Conference athlete for her three years on campus and was recognized this year by the USCAA for National All-Academic Team honors. She has received numerous awards and honors while at Brandywine including the Campus Service Award, Michael Menichini scholarship and an Academic Recognition Award. Bobbi is the second female athlete in a row to earn this honor from Brandywine. Athletic Director, Jim Gastner praises Caprice highly by saying "Bobbi is one of the finest young women I have had the pleasure to get to know and work with at Penn State Brandywine. Brandywine Athletics is so proud to have her call Brandywine home and cannot wait to see what incredible things are to come!"
