Volleyball continues non-league games.
In their first double header of the season the Lady Lions traveled to play Cedar Crest College and Penn State Abington. First up was PSU Abington. The Brandywine Lions came out strong and played to their potential. After taking the first and second game without much trouble they were able to play with their line-up and get everyone in the game. They finished with a 3-0 win.
Cedar Crest was up next and a little more aggressive. Brandywine was able to adjust to the new pace of play quickly and compete. Alexandra Vitale was on fire and touching most of Cedar Crest attacks and getting great passes to the net, however Brandywine had a tough time converting and putting the ball down. The Lions battled and hung on to each game, winning one, but came up a bit short in the long run and lost 1-3. "It was a great effort by every player on the team, we still have a lot to learn and we are ready to get back to our gym and let the lessons begin," says head coach Melissa Algeo.
