Brandywine Volleyball heads west for 4 matches.
The Lady Lions of Penn State Brandywine traveled west this past weekend to Greater Allegheny and New Kensington for four matches over two days.
Saturday was started with a tough loss to Penn State Fayette 0-3. Brandywine matched Fayette's energy but were unable to match consistancy in play. They dropped the match but kept their heads up to face off against Penn State Greater Allegheny. Coming off the previous loss inspired Brandywine to get on top of the scoreboard early and stay there throughout the entire match. Brandywine defeated Greater Allegheny 3-0.
Going 1-1 into Sunday's matches the Lady Lions were well rested and prepared. New Kensington was first up and handled easily by Brandywine in three games. After a match rest it was on to play Penn State Beaver. They were a bigger challenge and after getting used to the noise on the court and bench Brandywine was anxious to win. Brandywine prevailed and came out strong and excited with a 3-1 win over Beaver.
The Lady Lions headed home 3-1 on the weekend and are more than ready to get to the next match.
