Brandywine Volleyball finishes 2013 17-2 in conference.

Penn State Brandywine Volleyball wraps up their season in second place in the PSUAC, with an overall record of 18-11 and conference record of 17-2. Brandywine only dropped two matches in league to PS Fayette and look to improve on this record in 2014.

Four players were named to PSUAC All-Conference teams: Miranda Biondi and Nicole Costa to PSUAC First Team as well as teammates Kelsi Wiest and Kim Russo who received honorable mentions. Kirsten Jerla was named to the USCAA National All-Academic Team.

"It was an absolutely amazing season, the best we have seen here at Brandywine as well as the first time we have ever been to the championship match. The level of talent and energy of this squad was inspiring. Though we finished earlier than planned we have big goals for the off season and even bigger goals for the 2014 season," says Coach Mel.

Brandywine Volleyball is graduating five seniors this season: Kate Cowan, Kate Curley, Kimi Gardiner, Amanda Rasley and Alex Vitale. The dedication and support these five have given will be unmatchable and missed in the future and the coaching staff couldn't be more proud to have them as former Brandywine athletes and more importantly Penn State graduates.

With these five down Brandywine is determined to bring in freshman to fill out the team and the gaps that will be present. Please direct any interest to head coach Melissa Algeo at mhl13@psu.edu.
