Brandywine Golf Receives PLATFORM Team Academic Award

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's golf team was honored with the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of American on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Brandywine was one of 292 NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA teams honored for earning a team grade-point average of 3.0 or greater during the 2024-25 academic year, including 52 NCAA Division III members.
 
As a team, Brandywine produced an overall GPA of 3.37 last year, third-highest among the department's 12 varsity squads. Six of the team's eight student-athletes earned United East Scholar Athlete honors, having amassed a GPA of 3.20 or greater during the spring semester.
 
Under the direction of first-year Head Coach Brian Stout, Brandywine finished seventh at the United East Conference Championship during its first year as a member of the league and Division III last spring. Rising seniors Eric Angle (1st team) and Matt Cavanaugh (3rd team) claimed all-conference honors.
