Rasheed Wilkins (NewMedia Tech.) came up big in the second half to pace Penn State Brandywine to a 96-81 victory over Rutgers-Camden Friday night in the first round of the Rohrer Classic at Rowan.
Brandywine (5-2) scored 56 points in the second half to climb out of a 44-40 hole at halftime.
Wilkins drained two of his four 3-point field goals to fuel a 9-2 run that turned a 67-65 deficit into a 74-69 lead with 6:32 left in the game. Frank McCusker (Salesianum) came off the best for 20 points to lead Brandywine. Wilkins finished with 18 points, 11 assists, six rebounds and three steals. Dan Robinson (Ridley) added 15 points and seven rebounds, while Da'Quan Timmons (Upper Darby) chipped in with 11 points.
