Brandywine Competes At Weyhill Classic

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's golf team competed at the Weyhill Classic hosted by Moravian University, finishing in eighth place, on Monday.

Matt Cavanaugh (Drexel Hill, Pa./Bonner-Prendie) carded the Lions' low round of the day, finishing in a tie for 23rd place. Cavanaugh recorded a pair of birdies on the par-five 12th and par-four 17th holes en route to shooting a round of 84.

Eric Angle (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) was two shots off Cavanaugh's pace, while Eddie Ricottone (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) and Dominic Guzzo (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) recorded identical rounds of 99. Carl Galantino (Media, Pa./Penncrest) totaled 107 strokes.

Albright claimed the team championship in 308 strokes and the Lions' Nontaphat Veeratecha posted the low round of the day, finishing three under par in 69 strokes.

Brandywine's fall season continues on Thursday, October 2 at the United East Preview hosted by Penn State Harrisburg.
