Brandywine Returns To Action At DelVal Tri-Match
WARMINSTER, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine golf team returned from a nearly three-week layoff to compete at the Delaware Valley University tri-match on Thursday afternoon. The Lions finished in third place with a team total of 346 strokes.
The host Aggies won the tri-match with 311 strokes, while Misericordia finished second after totaling 328 strokes.
Matt Cavanaugh (Upper Darby, Pa./Bonner-Prendie) and Eric Angle (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) finished in a three-way tie for third place individually after carding identical rounds of 78.
Carl Galantino (Media, Pa./Penncrest) tallied a round of 93, while Nicholas Grantland (Media, Pa./Penncrest) finished the round in 97 strokes.
DelVal's Jack Brennan was the low shooter on the day with a four-over-par round of 75.
Brandywine wraps up the regular season at Monday's Penn State Abington Invitational beginning at 11:00 AM.
