Bio

Bill Bono begins his first season as head men's soccer coach at Penn State Brandywine this fall.

Bono arrived at Brandywine following one season as an assistant coach at Division II Chestnut Hill College where he helped the Griffins win six matches, the team's highest win total in nearly a decade. Prior to Chestnut Hill, Bono spent four years as an assistant at Gwynedd Mercy University, coaching four seasons on the men's side and two on the women's side, while assisting in all aspects of both programs.
 
In addition, Bono was the head girls soccer coach at Pope John Paul II High School from 2019-21.
 
Bono is a graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School where he was a two-time All-Catholic League standout. He went on to play one year of soccer at Division I Mount St. Mary's before transferring to Cabrini University for his final three seasons. Bono was a two-time all-conference performer and was named as the team's most valuable player, while leading Cabrini to three-straight conference championships.
 
Bono was also involved with TEAMS USA and had the opportunity to train in Europe, while competing in Scotland, Sweden and Denmark. 
 
Bono graduated from Cabrini with a degree in business administration and marketing.
