JJ Ruhl enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Penn State Brandywine volleyball program in 2026.

A Penn State alumnus, he played collegiate volleyball at Penn State Altoona as a libero/defensive specialist. During his playing career, Penn State Altoona captured a conference championship and earned an appearance in the NCAA Division III Men’s Volleyball Tournament.

Ruhl began his coaching career as a coach with Sparks Volleyball Club. He has also coached boys club volleyball at Volleyball Performance Academy for two seasons and completed one season with Spooky Nook.
