Bio
The 2015 season will be the second at Penn State Brandywine for Assistant Coach Iain Ridgway.
Ridgway is a veteran long-distance runner, having competed at the international level in Europe in numerous disciplines. After earning national championship medals for Wales as an ultra runner, Ridgway was selected to compete for Great Britain at the 2013 IAAF IAU Ultra-Trail World Championships where he placed fourth individually, while helping Great Britain secure the team championship.
Also a regional honoree while representing North Wales and a state champion in North Germany, Ridgway competed for Wales at the World Long-Distance Mountain Running Championships three times (2009, 2010, 2012) and twice ran at the Snowdon International race.
Ridgway founded an off-road, guided running company in North Wales which he co-ran from 2009-13. He also has experience coaching and leading training sessions for club teams throughout the United Kingdom.
Ridgway, who owns a PhD in physiology and a degree in marine biology, is a USA Track & Field certified coach and resides in Collingswood, N.J.
