Brandywine Bests Schuylkill In Sweep

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team continued its winning ways on Wednesday night by earning a conference road sweep at Penn State Schuylkill, winning 3-0. Set scores from the match were 25-13, 25-12, 25-20.

Brandywine remained unbeaten in the PSUAC, improving to 3-0 in the league and 9-2 overall, while Schuylkill was dealt its first conference loss and fell to 2-1.

Nikki Poissant (Aston, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) posted eight of Brandywine's 26 kills, while Becca Civera (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) added seven kills. Nicolette Napoleon (Springfield, Pa./Penn Charter) totaled  six kills and three aces and Rikelle Taylor (Nottingham, Pa./Solanco) collected four kills.

Randi Gassaway (Detroit, Mich./East English Village Prep) led the team by accumulating eight digs and four service aces, while Poissant registered five digs and Sullivan Stark (Middletown, Del./William Penn) dealt out 13 assists. Taylor and Lauren Kelly (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) both collected a pair of blocks.

Brandywine returns home to host its annual Dig Pink quad matches this weekend beginning Saturday with contests against Penn State Greater Allegheny (2:00 pm) and Penn State Beaver (4:00 pm).
