PSUAC Selects O’Neill As Men’s Soccer Goalie Of The Week
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pennsylvania -- The Penn State University Athletic Conference selected Brandywine sophomore Pat O'Neill (Morton, Pa./Ridley) as its men's soccer goalkeeper of the week on Tuesday.
O'Neill posted a shutout in Brandywine's 3-0 victory over Penn State Hazleton on SundayHe made seven saves, with five coming during the final 45 minutes, for the second shutout of his career. O'Neill's other shutout came during last year's PSUAC Championship game as Brandywine claimed its second-straight conference title.
Overall during the week, O'Neill totaled 12 saves during three starts in net.
After taking over as the team's starting goalie during the second half of his freshman season, O'Neill has posted four victories and 75 saves in 15 career starts.
Brandywine (4-7, 3-1 PSUAC) travels to Penn State Schuylkill on Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
