Brandywine Finishes Fourth At Lincoln Invitational

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's cross country teams both placed fourth at the Lincoln University Fall Invitational on Thursday afternoon.

Leading the Brandywine women was Tinyia Terrell (Milford, Va./Caroline), who placed fourth during the 4K race in a time of 17:45. Terrell was 48 seconds off the pace of Kamani Johns, who was the women's medalist.

Adelaide Etshman (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove) finished 13th with a mark of 21:03, while Liala Kanan (Schenectady, N.Y./Schenectady) and Sierra Diawara (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) crossed the finish line three seconds apart; Kanan in 24:47 and Diawara in 24:50. Madison Ollis (Coatesville, Pa./Avon Grove) posted a time of 28:50.  

For the Brandywine men, Jayden Diawara (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) claimed fifth with a 4K time of 16:14.

Tommy Zotollo (Washington Township, N.J./St. Joseph's Regional) took 12th (18:14), while Joshua Mitre (Brooklyn, N.Y./School of the Future) tied for 13th place in 18:21.

Jake Whalen (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) crossed the finish line in 19:25. Malusi Pretcy (Philadelphia, Pa./New Foundations Charter) and Gui Henn (Exton, Pa./Downingtown STEM Academy) rounded out the Lions as Pretsy ran to a time of 22:00 and Henn finished the race five seconds later.

Brandywine will run for the final time during the regular season on Saturday at the Rowan Border Battle (11:00 AM).
