Brandywine Wraps Up Regular Season In New Jersey

GLASSBORO, N.J. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's cross country team completed its regular season on Saturday afternoon at the Rowan Border Battle at DREAM Park in New Jersey.

The Lions placed 20th as a team, while Johns Hopkins was the team champion and Washington & Lee's Colin Verrett earned individual medalist honors.

Jake Whalen (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) was the Lions' top finisher, running to a time of 38:01, while Joshua Mitre (New York, N.Y./School of the Future) crossed the line six seconds later.

Gui Henn (Exton, Pa./Downingtown STEM Academy) turned in a time of 45:09. Malusi Pretcy (Philadelphia, Pa./New Foundations Charter) ran to a mark of 49:47, while Gage McKenna (Avondale, Pa./Kennett) registered a time of 49:50.

Brandywine will run for the first time at the United East Conference Championships on Saturday, November 2 in Hughesville, Md.
