USCAA Selects Napoleon As Volleyball Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- The United States Collegiate Athletic Association tabbed Penn State Brandywine senior Nicolette Napoleon (Springfield, Pa./Penn Charter) as the volleyball player of the week on Tuesday.

During Brandywine's busy, seven-match week, Napoleon compiled 54 kills, 46 digs, 19 aces and six blocks as Brandywine went 4-3 overall and 3-0 against USCAA opponents.

She set single-match career highs in both kills and digs last week, tallying 17 kills in a three-set victory over Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Saturday and totaling 18 digs Sunday against Cedar Crest.

During five of Brandywine's seven matches, Napoleon posted at least seven kills. She added a 12-dig performance against Wilkes-Barre.

In 22 matches this season, Napoleon leads Brandywine with 42 service aces, while ranking second in kills (146) and sixth in digs (150).

Brandywine (10-12, 7-0 PSUAC) hosts Penn State Scranton on Tuesday night at 7:00 PM.
