Brandywine Men Place Third; Women Sixth At Lincoln
LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's cross country team placed third, while the Lions' women's team finished sixth at Thursday's Lincoln University Invitational.
Jayden Diawara (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) recorded a top-five finish for the Brandywine men, posting a 4K time of 16:06. Noah Walker (Bremen, Ga./Bremen) placed 15th in a time of 18:39, while Matt Briddes (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) crossed the finish line 13 seconds later.
Kaiere Cornitcher (Philadelphia, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) ran to a mark of 20:12 and Noah Iyoun (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) registered a time of 20:27. Mateo Yusuf (Cressona, Pa./Blue Mountain) rounded out the Lions in 21:52.
Pacing the Brandywine women was Adelaide Etshman (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove), who completed the 4K race in 21:42. Anna Caporale (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) hit the finish line in 22:11, while Naya Rivera (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest) posted a mark of 24:59.
Charlotte Aldridge (Landenberg, Pa./St. Mark's) and Vienna Fulginiti (Telford, Pa./Souderton) crossed the finish line simultaneously in 27:48.
Brandywine wraps up the regular season Friday at the Haverford Invitational beginning at 4:30 PM.
