Turner Named Division III Player Of The Week By Philadelphia Baseball Review
MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine senior Nate Turner (Dover, Del./Dover) was selected as the Division III Offensive Player of the Week by the Philadelphia Baseball Review on Tuesday.
Turner batted 5-for-11 during three starts last weekend, while reaching base at a .500 clip. Three of his five hits went for extra bases. He added a team-high four runs batted in and scored one run.
In game two on Saturday against Penn State Mont Alto, Turner posted a two-run single and a two-run double during the seventh inning as the Lions scored 10 runs to defeat Mont Alto 12-11.
One day later, Turner went 2-for-3 with a two-base hit in game one and added another double during the nightcap versus Anna Maria.
Brandywine is back at Maple Zone Tuesday to host Delaware Valley at 3:00 PM.
