Lawton Claims Third Team All-United East Honor

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine senior Owen Lawton (Glenmoore, Pa./Downingtown East) was selected to the All-United East Conference Baseball Third Team as the league released its end-of-year awards on Wednesday.
 
Lawton collected 28 hits for a .326 batting average in 26 games in the outfield and as a designated hitter for the Lions in 2025. Eleven of his hits went for extra bases, including tying for the team lead with three home runs. Lawton also paced Brandywine with 22 runs batted in, while scoring 15 runs and stealing eight bases.
 
Lawton came on strong during the season's final month, recording a hit in 14 of the team's final 16 contests. During that span, he recorded three-hit performances against Rosemont and Keystone and produced seven multi-hit efforts overall. Lawton did most of his damage at the plate against conference foes, recording three home runs, 16 RBI and a .333 batting average in 14 games.
 
During his four-year career at Brandywine, Lawton was a .350 hitter with 24 extra-base hits, 49 RBI, 42 runs scored and 22 stolen bases. He also earned first team all-conference honors following his junior season.
