MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine women's soccer team closed out its three-game home set following a 6-0 defeat against Cedar Crest College on Wednesday afternoon.
Making her first-career start in goal, Alexis Himelright (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove Charter) made 11 saves, 10 of which came during the first half.
Cedar Crest featured four different goal scorers during the first half, netting five markers. The Falcons tacked on one additional goal early in the second period.
Brandywine's top scoring opportunity came from Hope Priemon (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) as her free kick midway through the second half rang off the cross bar. Priemon recorded both of Brandywine's shot attempts.
Brandywine (1-6-1, 0-2 United East) will play four of its final six matches on the road beginning Saturday at Cairn (5:00 PM).
