MEDIA, Pa. – St. Mary's College of Maryland, ranked fourth in NCAA Division III Region IV, topped the Penn State Brandywine women's soccer team 8-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Taylor Mims (Yeadon, Pa./Penn Wood) made 25 saves for the Lions, the second-highest, single-game total in program history. She stopped 14 shots during the first 45 minutes and added 11 more saves in the second period.
Lillee Rusk, Megan Rusk and Mia McKenzie all netted two goals for the visitors. St. Mary's built a 4-0 halftime lead and tacked on four more markers during the second half.
Brandywine (1-9-1, 0-5 UEC) will play its next two matches on the road beginning Wednesday at Penn State Abington (1:00 PM).
