Brandywine Falls In Regular-Season Finale

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Penn State Brandywine women's soccer team's regular season came to a close Saturday afternoon following a 3-0 defeat at Notre Dame of Maryland.

The teams were scoreless entering halftime, but the hosts struck for three second-half goals. The Gators netted their first marker just 1:31 into the second period and added insurance tallies during the 68th and 81st minutes.

Brandywine goalkeeper Jasmin Alvarez (Tracy, Calif./Tracy) stopped all three shots she faced during the first half and made eight saves overall, while playing all 90 minutes in net.

Brandywine's offense produced eight shots, including two each from Hope Priemon (Springfield, Pa./Springfield), Emma Kearns (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) and Peyton Lill (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen). Kearns and Addisyn Fluckey (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) both put one shot on target.

Brandywine finished the regular season with a 6-7-1 record, a five-win improvement from 2024, and can still earn a postseason bid. The Lions will need Penn College to defeat Cedar Crest on Sunday to receive a bid to the United East Conference Tournament.
