MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine won its final non-conference tune-up of the season, winning in a romp, by a score of 10-0 over Trinity Washington University as the Lions moved their unbeaten streak to five consecutive matches on Wednesday.
Emma Kearns (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) and Addy Stanton (Henderson, Nev./Coronado) both scored three times to lead the offensive effort. Kearns also dished out three assists, while Stanton posted two helpers. Hope Priemon (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) added a goal and two assists and Addisyn Fluckey (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) notched one goal and one assist. Larkin Henderson (Philadelphia, Pa./Bodine) and Peyton Lill (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) also found the back of the net for the Lions.
Fluckey netted the match's first goal less than three minutes in. Kearns and Stanton both scored a pair of first-half goals and Priemon added a marker during the 22nd minute to give Brandywine a 6-0 edge at intermission.
Lill opened the second-half scoring at the 50:27 mark, while Stanton and Kearns completed their hat tricks during the 54th and 55th minutes, respectively. Henderson capped the offensive effort at the 57:30 mark.
Brandywine piled up 48 shots, including six from Kearns and five off the foot of Lill. Jasmin Alvarez (Tracy, Calif./Tracy) went untested in the Brandywine goal to produce her fourth shutout of the season.
Brandywine (4-1-1) opens conference play Saturday at home versus Cedar Crest at 3:00 PM.
