Harrisburg Rallies To Top Brandywine 2-1

MEDIA, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine held the lead into the 69th minute, but Penn State Harrisburg scored twice in a span of 120 seconds to rally past the Lions by a 2-1 score in United East Conference men's soccer action on Saturday.

Brandywine was first on the board, scoring during the 30th minute. Jackson Gamber (Millville, N.J./Millville) sent a corner kick into the far side of the box and found the head of David Kayihura (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial), who deposited his second score of the season.

The Lions clung to the 1-0 advantage for nearly 40 minutes of game play, but Harrisburg equaled the count at the 68:16 mark as Cole Isaacs netted a goal off a rebound. Just under two minutes later, Harrisburg went in front thanks to a goal from Addis Tafese.

Brandywine nearly tied the score in the 72nd minute, but Ethan Faulkner's (Huntington Beach, Calif./Marina) shot trickled just wide of the cage. The Lions were held without a shot attempt the rest of the way.

Braden Warwick (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) played all 90 minutes in net, stopping eight of the 10 shots he faced. Faulkner recorded two of Brandywine's five shots, putting one on target.

Brandywine plays its final home match on Tuesday when the Lions host Penn College at 4:00 PM.
