Late Flurry Of Goals Sends DelVal Past Brandywine

MEDIA, Pa. -- Delaware Valley scored three times during the final 19 minutes to pull away with a 4-1 victory over the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon.

The Aggies held a 1-0 lead entering halftime, but the Lions scored early in the second period thanks to Robbie Warren's (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) penalty kick. Warren was taken down in the penalty area and converted the ensuing penalty for his team-high fourth goal of the year, tying the count at 1-1 at the 50:18 mark.

The score remained the same until the 72nd minute. Brandywine keeper Braden Warwick (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) stopped a DelVal shot, but Kelvin Murray followed the rebound and put the Aggies on top.

DelVal tacked on insurance goals during the 75th and 82nd minutes.

Warwick made 13 stops, while playing all 90 minutes in net for the Lions. Warren accounted for two of Brandywine's three shots on goal, while Ethan Faulkner (Huntington Beach, Calif./Marina) tallied one.

Brandywine (1-6) will visit Haverford Tuesday at 4:30 PM for its final non-conference match of the season.
