Brandywine Falls At Alvernia

READING, Pa. -- Alvernia scored twice during the first 14 minutes of regulation and never looked back en route to a 9-0 victory over the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team on Wednesday.
 
The hosts held a 4-0 lead at the half and tacked on five more markers during the final 45 minutes. Eight goal scorers accounted for the Golden Wolves' nine tallies.
 
Braden Warwick (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) and John Schild (West Chester, Pa./Delaware Valley Classical School) split time in net for the Lions. Warwick made eight first-half saves, while Schild blocked three shots during the final period.
 
Robbie Warren (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) provided both of Brandywine shots on the night, putting one on target.
 
Brandywine (1-5) hosts Delaware Valley Saturday at noon.
