LAPLUME, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team earned its first United East Conference victory of the season, besting Keystone by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday evening.
Braden Warwick (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) was tested four times during each half, totaling eight saves to record the first shutout victory of his career.
Dakari Burton (Frederick, Md./Governor Thomas Johnson) provided the Lions' first goal of the night. He received Robbie Warren's (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) crossing lob and potted his first goal of the season at the 20:18 mark.
The score remained 1-0 until early in the second half when an own goal provided by Keystone doubled the Lions' lead to 2-0. Warwick needed to make four more stops to help the Lions to their first conference victory in three matches.
Brandywine put five shots on goal, including two off the foot of Burton.
Brandywine hosts Valley Forge for Senior Day on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM.
