Craddock Named To NFCA Player Of The Year Watchlist

MEDIA, Pa. -- The National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association Division III Player of the Year Watchlist featured Penn State Brandywine freshman outfielder Ava Craddock (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) when it was released on Thursday.

Craddock was one of 12 players from Region IV, which includes institutions from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York City, and one of just three United East softball players selected. A total of 119 student-athletes from Division III colleges earned the distinction.

Craddock owns a .509 batting average, the second-highest mark in the United East Conference. She has totaled 28 hits, seven of which have gone for extra bases, while driving in 15 runs and scoring 16. Craddock has also stolen four bases in as many attempts.

In 20 games, Craddock has hit safely 16 times. She has tallied eight multi-hit efforts, including a 4-for-4 performance against Carroll in Florida and a pair of three-hit games.

Brandywine owns a 15-5 record in the midst of its first season as a member of NCAA Division III. The Lions have won five-straight games and are tied atop the United East standings with a 4-0 conference record.

The 2025 NFCA Player and Pitcher of the Year winners will be announced on June 6th following the conclusion of the NCAA Division III Finals. All student-athletes are eligible for the end-of-the-season awards and do not have to be on this list to be considered.

Scheduled games this weekend at Penn College have been postponed to April 13, meaning Brandywine will next take the field on Tuesday at Maple Zone against Rosemont at 3:00 PM.
