Mushinski Awarded Second-Straight Academic All-District Honor

MEDIA, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine's Kaylee Mushinski (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Softball Team for the second consecutive year earlier this week.

A student-athlete must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.50 and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or start in at least 66 percent to be eligible for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. Academic All-Americans will be announced in June.

Mushinski, a communications major, will carry a 3.66 GPA into her senior year. A Dean's List student in five-straight semesters, Mushinski has also received academic all-conference and National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association academic honors, along with one academic all-area selection, during her three-year softball career.

On the diamond, Mushinski started 36 games at first base in 2025, batting .354 with 45 hits. She topped the Lions with five home runs and collected 39 RBI and 30 runs scored, helping lead Brandywine to a United East Conference championship during its first season in the league.

Mushinski, who collected conference player of the year and all-American awards during her first two seasons at Brandywine, is a career .400 hitter, owning 168 hits, including 19 home runs. On May 2, Mushinski broke the program's career RBI record and has now produced 169 RBI in 123 games. She ranks in the top 10 in nearly every offensive statistical category in program history.

Brandywine completed its first season of NCAA Division III competition with a record of 35-8, its fourth-straight season of 35-plus victories.
