Brandywine Coasts Past Notre Dame 7-0

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine women's tennis team eased to a 7-0 victory over Notre Dame of Maryland on Friday.
 
Samma Zahran (Brookhaven, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) and Sydney Mabry (Washington, D.C./Jackson-Reed) teamed to win No. 1 doubles, while Mari Gvelesiani (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fort Hamilton) and Hope Priemon (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) earned a victory at No. 2 doubles. Both pairs rolled to 6-0 triumphs.
 
Zahran and Gvelesiani claimed their respective singles bouts by identical scores of 6-1, 6-0. 
 
Mabry was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 3 singles, while Sofia Guzman (Cali, Colombia/Colegio Berchmans) earned a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at No. 4 singles.
 
Brandywine (5-6, 3-3 UEC) hosts Penn State Abington for its final home match of the spring on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM.
