CHESTER, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team suffered its first defeat of the fall, dropping a 9-0 decision at Widener on Wednesday night.
The Pride claimed a 3-0 halftime lead and tacked on six more goals during the final 45 minutes.
Elijah DeBooth (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) stopped two shots during the opening period, while Will Manarpaac (Boerne, Texas./Samuel V. Champion) made one save during the second half.
Francis Sarpong (Germantown, Md./Northwest) registered both of Brandywine's shots, with both coming during the second half, one of which was on target.
Brandywine (1-1-2) looks to bounce back Saturday when it faces Ursinus at 1:00 PM.
